  1. What are your initial thoughts on tonights message on self image?
  2. How is respecting yourself (and others) and the truth that God created you connected?
  3. What role does the brain play in relation to understanding our worth
  4. How do the messages in our brains effect how we view ourselves
  5. What did Amy’s story mean to you? How did it help or not help?

Discuss

  1. What was one take away from tonights message?
  2. How would you explain the main idea of tonights message to a friend at school?

Prayer

Use the following verse as you pray with and for one another.

Galatians 6:4-6 4 Don’t compare yourself with others. Just look at your own work to see if you have done anything to be proud of. 5 You must each accept the responsibilities that are yours.

Luke 12:7 Yes, God even knows how many hairs you have on your head. Don’t be afraid. You are valuable.

Genesis 1:27 So God created humans in his own image. He created them to be like himself.

Psalm 33:15 He created every person’s mind, and he knows what each one is doing.

Isaiah 43:1, 44:2 The Lord created you. He has helped you since you were in your mother’s womb. He made you, and now he says, “Don’t be afraid. I saved you. I named you. I chose you. You are mine.
