• Would you rather go without the internet for a week or texting for a week?

• What would you do if your neighbor told you he was taking his son on a trip to sacrifice him to his god?
• How many of you have to know how the movie ends before you will agree to watch it. Why?
• Was it surprising that Issac was not a little kid. (possible 18-30 years old)
• What was the aspect of the Story most interesting to you?

¹⁷ By faith Abraham, when God tested him, offered Isaac as a sacrifice. He who had embraced the promises was about to sacrifice his one and only son, ¹⁸ even though God had said to him, “It is through Isaac that your offspring will be reckoned.”¹⁹ Abraham reasoned that God could even raise the dead, and so in a manner of speaking he did receive Isaac back from death.Read Hebrews 11:7.

• What does this say about the faith of Abraham that he believed God could raise Issac from the dead?
• What does this say about our God?
• The statement, “It’s all Isaac.” What did Jesse mean by that? Explain that in your own words and apply it to your own life.
• What was God saying to you tonight during the message?
• Bonus Question: Why is it difficult to give God every aspect of our lives? is this something that you do all at once or is it a process over a lifetime? Explain your answer.

Prayer

⁵ The apostles said to the Lord, “Increase our faith!” Luke 17:6

Father, even the disciples that walked with Jesus needed to strengthen their faith. Jesus told them if their faith was only the size of a mustard seed, they could uproot trees and crumble mountains.

A possible prayer for you guys to pray over one another Lord, I need more faith like the disciples. Increase my faith and make me a mover of mountains. Grow my belief in You alone so that I would be strong in the Lord and ready to battle against the doubts planted by the enemy. Lord, increase my faith so I can continually trust all of my life to our amazing God.

Reminders

• We will NOT be gathering on Tuesday June 15th. Due to the Red River Gorge Trip. Small group leaders if you want to plan a hang out night for next Tuesday set it up right now in group. Go get ice cream, or grab some tacos…or whatever your group decides. This is optional and completely up to you.
